graduated from the Polytechnic School of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo. Holds a Master&#8217;s and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the same institution. Currently the Director of DESEK, he has 54 years of experience in the design and consulting of concrete structures, including buildings, wind towers, hydroelectric power plants, tunnels, and dams in During the construction of Line 5, he participated with <strong>Camargo Correa<\/strong> in the execution of <strong>Brooklin Station<\/strong>, the tunnels constructed by tunnel boring machines (TBM), and <strong>VSEs<\/strong>.<\/p><p>From 2017 to 2021, he worked at <strong>BabEng GmbH<\/strong> in Germany, involved in project development, planning, and specialized consulting for TBM projects. She joined <strong>Herrenknecht<\/strong> in 1997 and has since specialized in geotechnology, research, and development.<\/p><p>From 2008 to 2024, Karin managed the <strong>Geotechnical and Consulting Department<\/strong> of the <strong>Traffic Tunneling Division<\/strong> at <strong>Herrenknecht&#8217;s<\/strong> headquarters in Schwanau, Germany. In her current role, she is responsible as <strong>Head of Business Development and Pre-Sales<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Since June 2013, Karin has also been a member of the <strong>Supervisory Board of Herrenknecht AG<\/strong>.<\/p><p>She is a guest lecturer in postgraduate programs at universities in France, Germany, Italy, and the USA on the topic of <strong>tunnel excavation<\/strong> and <strong>tunnel boring machines<\/strong>.
