He also served as <strong>Vice President of ISRM &#8211; International Society for Rock Mechanics<\/strong>. In 2012, he received the <strong>Manuel Rocha Award<\/strong> from ABMS. He was an <strong>Associate Editor<\/strong> for the journal <em>Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology<\/em> (2010\u20132015) and a <strong>Visiting Professor<\/strong> in the Master&#8217;s Program in Underground Works at the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE), Delft, Netherlands.<\/p><p>He has experience in research related to <strong>tunnel support structures<\/strong>, <strong>time-dependent behavior of shotcrete<\/strong>, <strong>evaporitic rocks<\/strong>, <strong>numerical modeling<\/strong>, <strong>rock fracturing processes<\/strong>, and <strong>acoustic emission<\/strong>, as well as in the design of <strong>underground works<\/strong> and <strong>dams<\/strong>. He also served as Vice President of ISRM \u2013 International Society for Rock Mechanics. In 2012, he received the Manuel Rocha Award from ABMS. He was an Associate Editor for the journal Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology (2010\u20132015) and a Visiting Professor in the Master\u2019s Program in Underground Works at the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE), Delft, Netherlands.He has experience in research related to tunnel support structures, time-dependent behavior of shotcrete, evaporitic rocks, numerical modeling, rock fracturing processes, and acoustic emission, as well as in the design of underground works and dams. He has worked on projects in various countries.For instance, he is currently a member of the advisory board of Andra \u2013 Agence Nationale pour la Gestion des D\u00e9chets Radioactifs, specifically for the Cig\u00e9o project, which involves the underground storage of nuclear waste in Meuse\/Haute-Marne, France.
