Event Presentation
With the theme ‘Development and Sustainability through Tunnels and Underground Structures’, the 6th Brazilian Congress on Tunnels and Underground Structures and the International Latin American Tunnelling Seminar (6th CBT-LAT 2024) will bring together renowned names from the tunnelling industry around the world. Sixteen key topics will be covered for professionals in the field of underground structures. The meeting will present new technologies and trends in the areas of tunnelling design, construction, maintenance and operation. Debates, exchange of experiences and technical updates will also be part of the two events.
In addition to the technical papers from Brazil and Latin America, which promise to repeat the success of the 5th Congress in 2021, there will be lectures by renowned national and international experts and debates on current issues, as well as exhibitions of products, services and equipment, and technical visits.
A period has been set aside for a refresher course in tunnelling, taught by renowned Brazilian and international professionals in tunnelling engineering.
The organisation of the 6th CBT and LAT 2025 is counting on the active and motivated participation of the Brazilian and Latin American technical community so that the Congress results in an excellent exchange of experiences and knowledge, as well as excellent networking for all participants.
The Brazilian Tunnelling Committee, which is part of the Brazilian Association of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ABMS), is pleased to invite the entire technical community to get involved now by registering for and presenting papers at the 6th CBT, which is due to take place at a turning point in the areas of infrastructure, with the return of investment in urban mobility projects and works, and in the areas of energy, mining and sanitation, oil and gas, among others.

Com o tema “Inovando em obras subterrâneas para um futuro melhor”, o 5º Congresso Brasileiro de Túneis e Estruturas Subterrâneas (5º CBT) irá reunir nomes consagrados da indústria de túneis em todo mundo. Serão abordados 12 temas fundamentais para os profissionais da área de estruturas subterrâneas.
Haverá, no encontro, a apresentação de novas tecnologias e tendências nas áreas de projeto, construção, manutenção e operação de túneis. Debates, intercâmbio de experiências e atualização técnica também farão parte dos dois eventos.
Além dos trabalhos técnicos do Brasil e da América Latina, que prometem repetir o sucesso do 4º Congresso, ocorrido em 2017, serão proferidas conferências de especialistas consagrados, nacionais e internacionais, e realizados debates de temas atuais, além da exposição de produtos, serviços e equipamentos, e visitas técnicas.
Está reservado um período para a realização de um curso de atualização e aperfeiçoamento na área de túneis, ministrado por profissionais brasileiros e internacionais renomados na engenharia de túneis.
A Organização do 5º CBTconta com a participação ativa e motivada da comunidade técnica brasileira e latino-americana para que o Congresso resulte em uma excelente troca de experiências e conhecimento, além de excelente networking a todos os participantes.
O Comitê Brasileiro de Túneis, que integra a Associação Brasileira de Mecânica dos Solos e Engenharia Geotécnica (ABMS), tem o prazer de convidar toda a comunidade técnica a engajar-se desde já, inscrevendo-se e apresentando trabalhos, do 5º CBT, que deverá acontecer em um momento de virada para as áreas de infraestrutura, com a volta dos investimentos em projetos e obras de mobilidade urbana, e nas áreas de energia, mineração e saneamento, óleo e gás, entre outras.
